The game isn't set to come out for a few months, but the premise is highly amusing: to remake the entire original Left 4 Dead using the technical style and capabilities of 8-Bit NES games, even down to redoing the orchestral music tracks within 4 channels of sound. The completed game will feature all the original story campaigns as a top-down arcade shooter. Gameplay supports 1 or 2 players (not many 4 player games in the NES days!) but Bill, Louis, Francis, Zoey, and the original Infected will all be waiting for you. Valve is aware of the game (and apparently love it!) but no word yet on whether there are plans to release the game for Steam. Either way, the game is planned to be a free release for January 4, 2010.
