We had our son, Zach, tested about 3 weeks ago by a Psychometrist and we just got the results back today. According to the results, Zach has an I.Q. of 130!! He's always been a pretty smart little guy, but I never imagined results like this. He took a battery of, I believe, 8 different tests and when averaged out it came to 130. Now this would be a good time for a remark like, "like father, like son!" However, he did NOT get that from me embarassed I'm sure you can all atest to that lol I don't often get great news like this and I just wanted to share it with you guys and gals. So yeah, I guess I am bragging......a little!!

130? That's nothin' man...I did 155 easy on my bike, especially when I hit stuff and flipped over the handlebars? Being a kid was GREAT.

--wait, no. Sorry. I landed on my head a lot. You understand.

...anyway...

Congratulations to your son for a brain well done, and to you (and his mother, dude...she did all the work and for your sake you'd better not forget it!  Shocked ) for producing a potentially useful member of society. Let's hope your kid picks up the slack, because some of us...and here I am thinking of -----> BOBDOG <----- (think: Curious George and an electrified fence)...have utterly failed to make the world a better place, unlike me.

Yes.

But of course, you have the right to brag. Let's just pray that he won't be driven insane by the fact that he'll be one of the few people of his generation to be able to spell correctly. In fact, ask him to diagram that last sentence of mine. Bedratted if *I* can. But let us hope most fervently that he doesn't turn into Sheldon Cooper.

I think the kid turned out so smart just so he could understand what the heck his dad was saying!!

Stubby: Son, I need you to take out the trash.

Son: Okay dad.

Stubby: But first, go lie down on the trampoline outside, where I need you to gather some extra butterflies that your mother will be using in a stew later on Herod's Day. Make sure you get the lime green ones because they taste like the perfume of my first-grade teacher, who had a lisp and a monkey on a chair who hooted like an owl out in the pasture behind the brewery. When it was time for school to get out, I got in my little rocket ship and zoomed out to Pluto and back (and of course, it was still a planet then, but that was before Voyager made its big leap through the stratosphere). The fire lizards pulled my coat off and asked me whether I would take them to the Heart's Day parade in my long underwear, but it was 105 degrees outside on the surface of the moon. So, we skated down the cheese and ate a pizza by the lake with our feet. In the end, all we could do was ask for a hot tulip infusion in our tonic water. Okay, so you know what you need to do?

Son: Yeah, you want me to take out the trash.

Stubby: Smart boy!!

Damn Bobdog, do you have my house 'bugged??' lol I read your post quite throughly and it made perfect sense to me. As a matter-of-fact, your post reminded me to have 'the talk' with Zach, you know the one, right? Where you teach your child about the bees and the butterflys and what would happen if they were ever left alone on Pluto?  Without the trampoline! How could I have forgotten that most important life lesson? hammerhead Thanks Bobdog!!! BTW, in case you're interested, my son got the trash out! purplelaugh

I attest to nothing. After all maybe you're just a genius scientist who is ashamed to play computer games and don't want people to know  biglaugh

Well, your son's IQ is definitely better than mine at any rate. When I took such tests I ended up with 110 which is well... OK... I guess. But seriously that means your son has to put his potential to good use. If he ends up developing next-gen weapons of mass destruction, I'll hold you personally responsible  lol

Well Starfox, I looked up your IQ and, according to what I read, 110 to 119 means superior intelligence. So, in actuallity, you're better than just 'okay!!!' Here's the site in case you want to see for yourself, http://wilderdom.com/intelligence/IQWhatScoresMean.html  I remember what the teacher said to my parents after I took the IQ test, it was something like this; "Well, Mr and Mrs. Hilt, at least your son isn't a total idiot!" lol Oh well, who cares? At least I'm happy!!

Well GM, I can't even say he got his good looks from me! However, what he did get was the ability to explain himself very throughly hammerhead The only difference being is when Zach explains himself, you can actually understand what he's saying and HE makes sense!! And yeah GreyMouser, you're so right, we ARE family! We maybe a little on the dysfunctional side, but we're happy, so who cares?? onethumb
