... And they say it. A new -- albeit short and almost unnoticeable -- episode in the EA wants to acquire Take-Two saga that unleashed last week has been spread with the announcement Take-Two made that they will report their financial result for the first quarter 2008 in a conference call to be held on March 11.

Within this statement we can find the pretty usual stuff regarding financial reports announcements but at the end of the press-release is this little bit:

Quote
Further risks and uncertainties associated with Electronic Arts' unsolicited proposal to acquire the Company include: the risk that key employees may pursue other employment opportunities due to concerns as to their employment security with the Company; the risk that the acquisition proposal will make it more difficult for the Company to execute its strategic plan and pursue other strategic opportunities; and the risk that stockholder litigation in connection with Electronic Arts' unsolicited proposal may result in significant costs of defense, indemnification and liability.

Well pretty basic stuff as well since this kind of risks are always associated to acquisition proposals. Nevertheless the way Take-Two insists on the "unsolicited" aspect of EA proposal sounds like a woman saying to a man "I don't want you so back off!"

Somewhere it's almost as fun as a video game. I say "almost" because I wouldn't want to be in the shoes of Take-Two CEO right now. The fact that EA went through a great extent to make their acquisition proposal public didn't help. But sure, there was no reason for Electronic Arts to keep it discreet. After all it's much better for them now that all the shareholders (both EA and Take-Two ones) are joining the fray.

Who said Unreal Tournament couldn't be played without weapons?
