Ahhhh, aren't you sweet?!   ;D

No, what I really want for my birthday is a fourth from the Foxhole to join us in our Left 4 Dead exploits, so that we don't have to draft some 9-year-old who has better hand-eye coordination!   :joystickcrazy:   Silver, GM, Doc -- here's looking at you!

Ah, if only I could oblige. But I'm currently on the hunt for a new apartment (current lease expires at the end of this month, and roommate is moving to North Carolina) so my already-limited time is even more jam-packed with place-to-live-finding fun! ::)

But anyway. Happy birthday!

Even though it has already been said several times, by the rest your forum friends,........:xchristmas:..., wait, I mean.... :xnew_year: ......No that's not it either!.... :hammerhead:
Oh yea, now I remember....:bananaparty::happybirthday::bananaparty:
At the age of 39, you're still a young "pup"..:ok:.....(You like the play on words.."pup"..."bobdog".....I know it's not as "clever" as something Silver would come up with; but I tried.. ;))
BUT...just for your birthday, I did picked out a special pinata that I thought you would like......:fantasy:
.....So bring out your "big stick" and...whack it hard!!!.....:heavym:

You might think twice about that....after you seeing the "hand-eye coordination" of this 59-year-old.. :P

That time of the year again, huh?

Well, so happy B-Day to you dog, and I hope your wish will come true. I would be tempted by a L4D try but a) I don't have the game and b) being a 6 hours ahead of the East coast doesn't help... That would be hell just to plan a session. I assume you have your sessions the evening and your evening is generally my night  :purplelaugh:

Oh no, I definitely want an old person on my team ... it makes me look SOOO much better!!

Thanks for all the well-wishes, guys! I was PMing Josh last night and told him I'd OD'd on chocolate cake, but really, is that a BAD thing?? I think not!  :onethumb:

No, my best birthday gift has been my daughter, whose birthday is the day after mine. She turned 10 this year, so it was a very special day indeed for her. As GM and our other dads on here know, there truly is no way to top such a gift with material things.

So, I've got one year until 40 ... where's that bucket list?

One year to forty...I could say that once. I think. I'm pretty sure I could, at one time. Being as I'm smack dab in the middle of my fifties the old brain ain't what it was, along with some other parts, some of them strangely enough not as important as they once seemed. Still, I'm holding up well, as this recent photo shows:

If only I felt as good as I look.  :hammerhead:

But enough about me, fascinating as that might be. I give you Joy in your yearly reminder of our mortality, and best wishes on the long and tedious annoying fruitful time ahead. Ah, thirty nine...

   Hell, time to PARTY!

OK, that's enough. Time for my nap.
Tiens, voilà du boudin...

Happy birthday.

...what?

Oh. Needs more, huh? Okay, I'll try:

An exceprt from Keats' Grecian On An Old Urn (Or Something Like That):

Heard melodies are sweet, but those unheard
  Are sweeter; therefore, ye soft armpits, play on;
Not to the sensual ear, but, more endear'd,
Pitfart to the spirit ditties of no tone

...and it goes on like that. It ends with:

'Beauty is truth, truth beauty,—that is all
Truth, beauty, and a fanatical devotion to the Pope.
Ah...AMONGST our truths are beauty, fear, surprise, self-loathing...
Anyway, to conclude: Ye know on earth, and all ye need to know is this: truth, beauty, superior firepower, and giant breasts. Anyone for tennis?'

I'd like to take this opportunity -- celebratory as it may be -- to hawk my latest invention (as shown here by avid product endorser Paula Abdul), the Sternum Cozy!

Friends, do you frequently find yourself wishing that you had a cup holder in your chest, freeing up your hands for more important tasks, such as organizing your powerful prescription pain pills and horse tranquilizers? Well, wish no more with...the Sternum Cozy! Holds cups! Cans! Coffee! Shot glasses! Tumblers full of scotch! Jelly glasses full of cheap wine! Mason jars full of rubbing alcohol strained through a piece of rye bread! Yes, it's the amazing--

--click. Enough crass commercialism. Let's just gather together and celebrate...um...whatsisname's birthday. Whoever you are. The gang's all here.

...which means it's time to cut the cake! Mind the zombie.

...and then it's time to kick everyone out so you can enjoy your cake. But first, the zombie needs a ride home and some money to pay the babysitter. It's a sad commentary on the economy when no one can manage a few singles for the stripper, huh?

Anyway. Speaking of zombies, Left4Dead: I have a million things hovering over me right now, so I'm not able to join you guys...sorry.

Geez, I think the gang's all here, except for Mrs. Ling, Chairwoman ... I wonder what she would say....

Thanks again for all the well wishes, guys; it was somewhat eventful as we took my daughter camping with 3 other 10-year-old girls this weekend. They went swimming in the rain, and then it started leaking into their tent, and they stayed up late, and woke up early, one girl threw up while another stomped out of the tent on two occasions -- lots of action all around. After that I could use with a bit of   :babydrink:

And now, I'm exhausted!  :sleepy1:

Gosh, happy belated birthday... and apparently the 7 others before? To be frank, I don't even remember myself what I was doing in 2009. Yeah even in games I played that year, I'm drawing a blank. Uh, wait that was around the release of Mass Effect 2? So possibly a lot of that.

That's the thing about being close to 50. You don't want to pay attention to the calendar anymore

Boy, there sure are names we haven't seen in a while...
