Adventure Game Pack for Charity
« on: September 07, 2010, 10:42:19 PM »
Anyone interested in some old school adventure games and helping those in need may be interested in checking this out: Telltale games is releasing a classic adventure game pack for 19.99, for which 25% of each purchase will go to the selected charity of your choice. Also, as a bonus now that the donations have reached a certain amount, Telltale has thrown in a couple of their own games.

The Games:
Penny Arcade Adventures: Precipice of Darkness: Episode 1
The Whispered Word
The King's Quest Collection (Includes Parts 1-7)
Jack Keane
Puzzle Agent
Sam and Max: Season Two

The Charities:
Child's Play
Electronic Frontier Foundation
Leukemia and Lymphoma Society
Nyota e.V
World Wildlife Fund

Take a look at the deal here before September 10th 17th.

Side Note #1: Does anyone else get confused when they see the acronym for the World Wildlife Fund (WWF)? Ever since I saw their ads as a kid, I thought of the wrestling organization and started imagining the panda bear in their logo in a wrestling ring.

Side Note #2: I guess this time of year is the charity season, since my personal sponsor drive of choice will be coming around again soon....

World Wildlife Fund actually sued World Wrestling Federation for the WWF moniker about 10 years ago, which prompted the change to World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE). Final score: Pandas - one, tough guys - zero.

Sounds interesting...for one thing, I never finished the first King's Quest. Or any of the others. Huh. Okay, I'm buying it.

Due to its popularity, this deal has been extended for another week! Anyone who was waffling on it has another chance to support gaming and the pandas that defeated Hulk Hogan (or whichever charity you'd prefer.  ;D)
