Deep in the middle of SR3, and I
really miss SR4 right now.
SR:GooH...that *had* to be intentional.

My major issues with SR3 are: Brutes, escort missions, Brutes, the Snatch missions, Brutes, pretty much any mission with a timer or someone that needs protecting, and Brutes. Plus, watching as WWIII unfolds whenever some enemy gang member dies as part of a side mission.
For example: an "easy" Snatch mission, where I'm supposed to recruit 7 ho's (lovely.); wipe out the "abusive pimps" and recruit the ho's. Kill one Morningstar, and I got three stars immediately. Snipers in choppers, road blocks, and then: Brutes.
Fun!
I've seen all kinds of advice given about how to get through these dumbass missions, but it all comes down to me, punching the desk, howling "I hate this game, I hate this game, I hate this game..."
So I guess I'm really not enjoying it all that much. Fortunately, I am not the 100% completion type, so it doesn't bother me if ignoring the worst parts of the game makes me ineligible for all the achievements.
There are a couple of workarounds for the problems I face, so I am not in full-on despair mode yet. I save that for Facebook, whenever one of my cousins post a gruesome pic or clip of someone with a mangled foot or a botched tattoo-related massive infection or something that makes me want to go live in a cave somewhere without internet access. I remember one happy week where I refused to update Flash because my browser automatically blocked all the insta-play videos due to it being out of date...
But beside all that.
If I were to suggest some changes to a rework of
VTMB:
- Better balancing between the first two acts; the Santa Monica segment is far too reliant on social skills, and Downtown requires some serious combat skills. By the time I get to Hollywood, my sheet is a mess.
- None of those goddamn head-with-arms things.
- Better character customization.
- Difficulty settings.
And so on. There was a group of lunatics redoing the entire game on a newer engine, but the property owners threatened lawsuits, etc..
