Dracula 4
« on: March 02, 2007, 10:19:19 PM »
I admit it -- I'm stumped in the first 5 minutes of this game!!  ::)  I've left my hut with my weapons, rounded the first corner toward Transylvania, climbed the rockface, and now sit staring at a pool of water in a grotto.

Help!   :-[

EDIT: I think I was supposed to post in the other board, but c'est la vie.

Now that we're finally here -- thanks in no small part to me for attempting to uncross my eyes long enough to figure out where I should be moving this thread -- I can probably help. One hopes.

A pool of water, eh? Hmmm. Oh, right...I remember: there's an underwater passage in the side of the pool, sort of below your line of sight. It's murky and hard to see.

And now... :sleepy2:

I jumped in the water and swum around, but couldn't see anything obvious. I'll use the flashlight this time and see what transpires....

Between my monitor's darkness and the general darkness of Thief, I have so many problems seeing things clearly. So I created a color profile via my video card that turns the brightness up to 110% in-game. It washes things out slightly, but that's okay.

There was no point in me typing that; I just wanted to bump this thread up.  ;D

The  tunnel  is  very  hard  to  see . :hammerhead:
I  believe   it  is   right  down  at  the  bottom  of  the  pool  ..........and  to  the  left   of  the  2  tall  trees .
I  think  you'll   love  this  game..........once  you  get  past  the  tunnel .

Found it.

Did anyone else notice that the ghostly guards didn't come running after you?

Overall, it was okay. Not quite as fresh storywise as the previous jaunts. I'm assuming the girl has been taken since she wasn't in the room?
